About Me

Hi, I’m Cora — the voice behind The Chronic Corner & Co.
I created this space because life didn’t turn out the way I thought it would… and I know I’m not alone in that.
I’m navigating pregnancy while living with chronic illness. I have had to learn how to advocate for my health, slow down when my body demands it, and still find meaning, joy, and softness in the everyday moments. Somewhere between waiting for my official diagnosis of fibromyalgia, managing symptoms, preparing for motherhood, and caring for our home, I noticed just how isolated I felt. I realized that I needed a space that felt honest, gentle, and safe.
That’s what The Chronic Corner & Co. is.
Why This Space Exists
So much content around pregnancy, health, and motherhood assumes a body with predictable energy, endless resilience, and uncomplicated medical care. If you live with chronic illness, that narrative can feel not only alienating but sometimes even shame-inducing.
Here, we try do things differently.
This blog is for those of us:
- Navigating pregnancy with chronic illness
- Feeling exhausted by the medical system
- Learning to balance rest with responsibility
- Choosing slow living, not only because survival requires it
- Wanting honesty, not toxic positivity
You won’t find pressure to “push through” here. You’ll find compassion, practical tools, and permission to exist as you are.
What You’ll Find at The Chronic Corner & Co.

Everything shared here comes from lived experience, not perfection.
A Little More About Me
When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me:
- Sipping far too much tea
- Curled up with a good book and the animals
- Moving at a slower pace than I’d like, but learning to accept it
- Preparing for the arrival of our baby, Harper, due in May
I share my life with my husband Wyatt, our dogs Stella and Jasper, and our cats Mercury and Orion. Home is where we get to rest, reconnect, and find steadiness, even when life feels unpredictable.
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (M.E.), in late 2025, but had been suffering from symptoms since October of 2024. I lost my ability to hold a job by December of 2024 and have been working on dealing with the grief and disappointment that comes with that. It is my hope that if you are also struggling with your new reality, you can find comfort in knowing you are not the only one.
My Approach
I don’t believe there’s one “right” way to be pregnant, chronically ill, or becoming a parent.
I believe in:
- Listening to your body
- Asking for what you need
- Letting go of unrealistic expectations
- Honoring rest as a necessity, not something to be earned
This space isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about supporting yourself.
You’re Welcome Here
If you’ve ever:
- Left a medical appointment feeling unheard
- Felt guilty for needing rest
- Grieved the experience you thought you’d have
- Wondered if you were doing any of this “right”
I want you to know, you belong here.
Through this blog and my newsletter, I share gentle encouragement, practical resources, and reminders that you’re not navigating this season alone.
🤍 Thank you for being here.
